The
Prettyboy Swingers was formed in 1974. We began dancing at
Prettyboy Elementary School near the Prettyboy Reservoir and
the home of a horse named Prettyboy.
Thus our name, Prettyboy Swingers was birthed.
Later the club moved its location to Seventh District Elementary
School of Parkton, Maryland. That is our current location.
We are a very active Plus club and hold our dances the 4th Saturday
monthly, September through May. We also have Plus workshops on the
2nd Tuesdays, monthly September through May.
We always try to have a New Dancer Program beginning, usually the
Middle of October.
We have a very energetic group "The Galloping Ponies" that dance a
highly energized and advanced DBD. Our Club Caller, Henry Ferree of
York, PA always calls a challenging level of DBD. The schedule for
this is 4th Tuesdays 8-10 PM all year. If you are seeking a more
aggressive
level of DBD, you certainly need to come on out.
